Overview

The PRS collective have many years of experience in many areas covering:

  • Full-scale air quality monitoring (airflow, pollutant concentrations, temperatures, humidity, etc) to assess in-situ airflow conditions.
  • Air dispersion modelling of existing or hypothetical future emissions sources to assess the potential health effects.
  • Noise and light assessments

PRS has also provided numerous specialised indoor air quality services including:

  • Sick Buildings Syndromes Investigations.
  • Air Movement Studies.
  • Indoor Air Quality Surveys.
  • Ventilation Studies.
  • Mould, Fungus & Bacteria Issues etc.

Health indicators include headache; eye, nose, or throat irritation; dry cough; dry or itchy skin; dizziness and nausea; difficulty in concentrating; fatigue; and sensitivity to odours.  Problems sometimes arise when a building is operated or maintained in a manner that is inconsistent with its original design or recommended operating procedures. Indoor air problems could also be a result of occupant activities or poor building design. Air movement studies include such airflow issues as the potential for natural ventilation and the migration of pollutants.
